Rejected order data files: If a file is rejected due to an error, it remains available for 30 days. If you don’t fix the error within this timeframe, the file is permanently deleted, and the data can’t be recovered.
Successfully processed order data files: After 30 days, the data is no longer accessible and cannot be reprocessed.
To minimize data loss and improve reprocessing capabilities, follow these best practices:
Monitor email alerts for rejected files – If you receive an alert about a rejected file, act immediately. You must correct and reupload the file within 30 days.
Request reprocessing as soon as possible – If you need to reprocess a file, contact Bazaarvoice Support as soon as possible. This ensures timely file reprocessing and reduces the risk of data loss.
Fix failed SFTP uploads within 30 days – If an error occurs during upload, correct the issue and reupload the file before the retention period ends. After 30 days, data from failed uploads is permanently deleted and can’t be recovered.
Reupload the file if the 30-day period expires – Since the original failed upload is no longer accessible after 30 days, you must submit a new file.
Update the transaction date when re-uploading – Before reuploading a file, update the transaction date to prevent duplicate processing in the system.
By managing uploads proactively and responding to alerts, you can prevent data loss and maintain accurate, complete notification records.
