Content supply chain report

The Content Supply Chain report tracks your content from sourcing, to moderation, to distribution, all in one view. It shows you the total volume of content moving through your instance rather than how any individual piece of content performed.

You can use this report to discover how much content is coming in, how much of it is ready to publish, and where it ends up.

Access the report

  1. In Vibe, select Insights from the main navigation.

  2. From the left-hand navigation, select Content Supply Chain.

Apply filters

You can filter the report in three ways. Each filter applies to every metric and chart on the page.

Filter

Description

Date range

Metrics will be calculated during a set time period.

Media type

Limits the report to images, videos, or both.

Content type

Limits the report to a single content type. Defaults to all content.

View summary metrics

Four cards at the top of the report give you a summary of your content pipeline.

Metric

Description

Total sourced

The total number of content items ingested in the selected period. This metric also tells you how many platforms that content came from.

Distribution-ready

Pieces of content with approved rights and tagged products, and are therefore eligible to publish.

Published

Pieces of content published to a distribution destination. This metric also tells you how many destinations received content.

Pipeline efficiency

The amount of your sourced content that reached publication.

Each metric shows a percentage change against the previous period of the same length. If the figure is green with an up arrow, the number increased. If it is red with a down arrow, it decreased. If there is no comparable data for the previous period, the change shows as a dash.

View sourced content metrics

This section shows the volume of content ingested into your instance per platform.

Sourcing over time

This graph is a bar chart of volume ingested per day across your selected date range, broken down by platform. You can use it to spot campaign spikes and quiet periods.

Platform breakdown

This donut chart shows the total volume of content ingested per platform for the selected period, with a figure against each platform.

View distribution destinations

This section shows where your curated content reaches consumers. Each destination has its own card showing volume published and the share of sourced content it represents.

Destination

Description

Galleries

Content published to your on-site galleries.

Like2Buy

Content published to your Like2Buy page.

Reveal

Content published through Reveal.

Scheduler

Content scheduled and published to your own social channels.

Showroom

Content published to Showroom.

VSN

Content distributed through the Bazaarvoice Network.

The Distribution over time graph plots the volume of published content across your chosen date range.

Note: An item published to more than one destination is counted on each destination card. Your destination figures will therefore add up to more than your total published volume.

Export your data

  1. Set the date range, media type, and content type you want to export.

  2. Select Export CSV.

Tip
Review your filters before exporting, as the CSV will reflect the filters active at the time you export the file.

Troubleshoot empty states

If a chart shows no data, you will see a message asking you to adjust your date range. This usually means there was no activity for the period you selected rather than a problem with the report. Extend the date range or clear a filter to check.

FAQs

Why is my Distribution Ready count lower than my Rights Approved count?

Content is only distribution ready once it is both rights approved and product tagged. Content that has approved rights but no product attached is not counted.

Why do my sourced and moderated volumes not line up?

Content sourced in one period may be moderated in another. Over a short date range you’ll see moderated items that were sourced before the range began.
