Bazaarvoice offers content export files, which are downloadable bulk files that provide you with product data and user-generated content (UGC). Extracting this information from Bazaarvoice enables you to do the following:
- Extract data for inclusion in catalogs or email campaigns.
- Analyze consumer sentiment.
- Integrate data with and improve site search or navigation.
- Power content on your website without the use of the Bazaarvoice display infrastructure.
There are three export types:
- Standard client feed: This is an XML file that includes all product data and full reviews. You can use this feed to store content locally, extract feedback for marketing and email campaigns, perform text sentiment analysis, or enhance site search.
- Ratings-only: This is a daily XML export feed that provides only numerical summaries without review text. You can use this feed to display star ratings on website category pages, improve site search and navigation, and provide aggregate scores for product sorting.
- Displayable content export: This is a bulk-downloadable file containing approved, public-facing customer reviews that have been stripped of personal data. Retrieved periodically through an HTTPS interface, it allows you to store and display UGC locally on public websites for performance, flexibility, or security reasons.
