Migrate questions

The migrate questions feature allows you to move existing user-generated content (UGC) from one product to another. This is helpful to:

• Correct misplaced reviews: Quickly move questions that were mistakenly submitted to the wrong product page.
• Keep existing reviews: Make sure questions stay connected to the right product, even if the product is rebranded or the ID changes.​​

Before you begin

• Active source: You can only migrate content from a product that currently has questions. If the source product has no questions, the Migrate button will be disabled. 
• Unique destination: The source product and destination product must be different.

How to migrate questions

To migrate reviews:

1. Sign in to the Bazaarvoice Portal.
2. From the top navigation bar select Ratings & Reviews.
3. From the side bar, select Migrate Content. The Migrate content page appears.
4. Select the Questions tab in the upper-right corner.
   
   
5. Under Source select one of the following review sources:
   1. To move individual questions:
      1. Under Source, select Individual questions.
      2. Enter the individual IDs of the questions you want to move, separated by commas.
      3. Select Add. All question IDs will be verified. Select View details to see more information for valid questions.
         
         
   2. To move all reviews from one product to another:
      1. Under Source, select All questions (from one product).
      2. Search for a product by entering a product name or ID. As you type, a list of existing product names with IDs will appear to help you narrow your search.
      3. Select a product from the drop-down list.
      4. Select Add. The source product will be verified to make sure it has existing reviews.
      5. (Optional). Select Change product if you’ve selected the incorrect source product.
         
         
         
6. Under Destination:
   1. Search for a destination product by product name or ID. As you type, a list of product names with IDs will appear.
   2. Select a product from the drop-down list.
   3. (Optional). Select Change product if you’ve selected the incorrect destination product.
      
      
      
7. Select Migrate questions. A confirmation message appears.
