Connect using HTTPS or FTP/SFTP link

Connect your product catalog using an HTTP/HTTPS or FTP/SFTP link to Bazaarvoice Vibe to product tag content and run campaigns.

Use this method if you have a product catalog that meets Google's product data specifications. If you don't have a product catalog using these specifications, or you're using Shopify or Adobe Commerce (Magento), contact Bazaarvoice Support. Before you begin

Your product catalog must meet Google's product data specifications for this connection method to work.

To access Vibe, you can navigate to the Vibe site directly or sign in to the Bazaarvoice Portal External link, and then select Vibe from the main navigation. 

Connect using an HTTP/HTTPS link

Follow these steps to connect your product catalog using an HTTPS link:

  1. In Vibe, make sure you're on the homepage. If you're not, select the Vibe logo in the upper-left corner of the page.
  2. In the Catalog card, select the gear icon. The Welcome to Bazaarvoice! modal will appear.
  3. Select the Select a platform drop-down menu and select Other.
  4. Select Let's go! The Connect Product Catalog page will appear.
  5. Make sure that Use a link (recommended) is selected.
  6. Enter your product catalog link in the Catalog URL text field. If you're not using an FTP/SFTP link, you can ignore the Login name (optional) and Password (optional fields).
  7. Select the Select a Locale drop-down menu to choose which language and currency we should associate with this product catalog. If the locale you want to use isn't listed, continue the setup process then contact support to update it.
  8. Select Next. Vibe will verify your catalog's file format. If you run into an error, review Google's product data specifications and our Configure Product Catalog developer guide.
  9. Review your product catalog and make any necessary updates. Select Next.
  10. Select Done.​

Bazaarvoice will process your product catalog and we'll send you an email when it's ready.

Connect using an FTP/SFTP link

Follow these steps to connect your product catalog using an HTTPS link:

  1. In Vibe, make sure you're on the homepage. If you're not, select the Vibe logo in the upper-left corner of the page.
  2. In the Catalog card, select the gear icon. The Welcome to Bazaarvoice! modal will appear.
  3. Select the Select a platform drop-down menu and select Other.
  4. Select Let's go! The Connect Product Catalog page will appear.
  5. Make sure that Use a link (recommended) is selected.
  6. Enter your product catalog link from your FTP client in the Catalog URL text field.
  7. If you're using an FTP/SFTP link, enter your FTP username and password in the Login name (optional) and Password (optional) fields.
  8. Select the Select a Locale drop-down menu to choose which language and currency we should associate with this product catalog. If the locale you want to use isn't listed, continue the setup process then contact support to update it.
  9. Select Next. Vibe will verify your catalog's file format. If you run into an error, review Google's product data specifications and our Configure Product Catalog developer guide.
  10. Review your product catalog and make any necessary updates. Select Next.
  11. Select Done.​
