What is intrasite syndication?

Intrasite syndication allows you to syndicate content between multiple website instances. When distributing user-generated content from your primary instance to the Visual Syndication Network, it will also be syndicated to each of your other instances. This means you won't need to request rights and product tag the same content multiple times if, for example, you have separate websites for different locales. By increasing the amount of social content you publish on your sites, your shoppable content volume and coverage will increase, which increases the likelihood of improving conversion rates.

Before you begin

Before you set up intrasite syndication, determine which instances you want to syndicate content between and identify your primary instance.

To enable intrasite syndication, you must:

Use Bazaarvoice's hosted terms and conditions in your rights requests
Have a complete and regularly-updated product feed for all instances
Have matching GTINs in each instance's product catalog
Have multiple Vibe instances (for example, multiple locales)
Have Galleries in your Vibe package for all instances you want to configure

Get started with intrasite syndication

Request intrasite syndication by contacting Vibe Support. In your submission, include the instances that you'd like to set up as syndication edges. A syndication edge is the connection made for content to move between instances. All instances must be under the same parent account for them to be set up as syndication edges.

Syndication content between instances

Once we've told you that intrasite syndication has been set up for your instances, you can start syndicating content between them.

Note: Content syndicated from one instance to another cannot be syndicated again from the second instance.

Follow these steps to syndicate content between instances:

In Vibe, choose the content that you want to syndicate.
Hover over the media and select the checkmark icon that appears.
Select + Add...
Select Add to Gallery.
Select the checkbox next to Bazaarvoice Network.
Select Add to Gallery.

Access your syndicated content

After you've syndicated your content, it will appear in the Bazaarvoice Network media stream.

To access your syndicated content:

In Vibe, select Galleries.
Select Find Media +.
Select the Bazaarvoice Network media stream.

Content that you've distributed through intrasite syndication will appear here. From here, you can publish your content.

Common questions

How are products matched between instances?

Products are matched using their associated GTIN from both Syndication edge catalogs. These are required for content to be distributed into another account instance.

Can I send content to some instances and not others?

No. Content must be syndicated to all instances at this time.
