Upload a product catalog file

Upload your product catalog as CSV file to Bazaarvoice Vibe to product tag content and run campaigns.

This method is an alternative to our HTTPS or FTP/SFTP link method. We do not recommend uploading a product catalog. To use this method, you must have a product catalog that meets Google's product data specifications. If you don't have a product catalog using these specifications, or you're using Shopify or Adobe Commerce (Magento), contact Bazaarvoice Support. For more information on each supported product catalog format, read our Configure Product Catalog developer guide.

Note: To update a catalog after using this method, Bazaarvoice must upload the catalog again with the updated products.

Before you begin

Your product catalog must meet the following requirements before you can upload it to Vibe:

• Comply with Google's product data specifications
• File name must be uninterrupted (for example, "bazaarvoicevibe.csv" rather than "bazaarvoice-vibe.csv"
• Comply with our product catalog requirements in our Configure Product Catalog developer guide

To download an example product catalog file, select one of the following links:

• Tab-Separated (.txt)
• ATOM 1.0 (.xml)
• RSS 2.0 (.xml)

Upload your catalog file

Follow these steps to connect your product catalog using an HTTPS link:

1. In Vibe, make sure you're on the homepage. If you're not, select the Vibe logo in the upper-left corner of the page.
2. In the Catalog card, select the gear icon. The Welcome to Bazaarvoice! modal will appear.
3. Select the Select a platform drop-down menu and select Other.
4. Select Let's go! The Connect Product Catalog page will appear.
5. Select Upload file (not recommended).
6. Under Upload a File, either drag and drop your product catalog file or select browse to select it from your files.
7. Select the Select a Locale drop-down menu to choose which language and currency we should associate with this product catalog. If the locale you want to use isn't listed, continue the setup process then contact support to update it.
8. Select Next. Vibe will verify your catalog's file format. If you run into an error, review Google's product data specifications and our Configure Product Catalog developer guide.
9. Review your product catalog and make any necessary updates. Select Next.
10. Select Done.​
