To ensure transparency and maintain consumer trust, you must disclose whenever a reviewer receives an incentive (such as free products, discounts, or loyalty points). Adding an Incentivized Review label is a requirement for all incentivized content. This label will be displayed on your live site.

Global compliance requirements
You are required to inform consumers when a review is incentivized, using either a graphic badge, a text label, or both. Transparency and trust are a core part of the Bazaarvoice Authenticity Policy .
Failing to disclose an incentivized review violates the following key consumer protection laws:
- US (FTC): The Federal Trade Commission
requires "clear and conspicuous" disclosure of any connection between a reviewer and a seller.
- EU (Omnibus Directive): The EU Omnibus Directive
unequivocally demands transparency for all consumer-generated content.
- UK (DMCCA): The Digital Markets, Competition & Consumers Act
requires incentivized reviews to be clearly labeled.
Note: azaarvoice is dedicated to content authenticity. Disclosing incentives is a key part of our Bazaarvoice Authenticity Policy
.
