FAQs

Why can't I find matching products?

If you can't find matching products, it's because your search criteria were too narrow or because the brand or retailer whose catalog you're searching hasn't entered complete or accurate product details.

Why can’t I see any product matches even though I can see the product on my website?

If you can’t see product matches, this is because the relevant product hasn't been matched yet to the same product in a destination catalog, or because you’ve entered the incorrect product ID. To avoid entering the incorrect product ID, try using a keyword search when you request matches.

Why do I need to search for matches if I have enabled auto-matching?

Product matches are made automatically only if both the source and destination catalogs contain sufficient and accurate details of the matched products.

If you don’t have these details, product matching helps you find potential matches in the destination catalogs to which you're already sending reviews. Learn about syndicating into the Bazaarvoice Network Opens in new tab.

I'm receiving syndicated content. Can I suggest a match in Portal?

You can suggest product matches in Portal if you have destination catalogs in which you can match products.

What happens after a product match request is approved?

Once a product match request is approved, we will start syndicating reviews for the matched product. It can take up to two weeks for these syndicated reviews to appear in Portal. Your product catalog won't be updated with the UPCs for the matched products.
