Why send order data for review request emails?

Bazaarvoice can use order data such as order confirmations or website sign-ups to trigger review request emails (RRE), enabling you to collect more user-generated content (UGC) and improve conversion rates.

  • Drive UGC volume: RRE makes it easier to get authentic reviews from verified buyers, driving traffic back to your website and boosting your review count. You receive an average of four moderated and approved reviews for every 100 RREs you send and up to 10 for specialized retailers. Sending order data has helped some clients double the number of reviews they receive.

Tips for sending order data

    Send order data actively 

    Make sure order data is sent to Bazaarvoice actively.
    1. If you are using BV Pixel, ensure BV Pixel is implemented in your checkout or transaction page so that transaction details are captured automatically and sent to Bazaarvoice.
    2. If you are sending order data manually, confirm it is still being actively sent — otherwise Bazaarvoice will stop sending RREs.

    Stop review requests for cancelled orders

    To prevent review request emails from being sent to customers who returned or cancelled an order, submit a feed file containing those transaction details to the following directory on the SFTP server: /ppe/invalidate.

    This invalidates specific transactions, so no review request email is sent for the associated email address or product.
