Recipient-only users
This user type is used strictly for alert and report distribution only. They do not have Portal login credentials but are assigned an ACTIVE status by default to ensure they receive triggered alerts or reports.
- Access: Eligible to receive alerts and reports.
- Login: Does not require login access to the Portal.
- Status: Account is automatically set to ACTIVE status when created.
- How: Set up the Recipient-only user using Manage Users in Portal.
Your Account Administrator can:
- Set up a valid Recipient-only user.
- Disable Recipient-only users.
- Delete Recipient-only users.
- Cannot reset passwords for Recipient-only users.
Third-party system alerts
If an alert is being directed to a third-party system, such as Salesforce or a similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, we recommend setting up the contact email address as a Recipient-only user in the Portal.
This ensures that your third-party system can reliably receive the alerts without requiring a full Portal account.
