Set up a media stream

Set up a media stream to pull content from sources that you specify in Bazaarvoice Vibe. You can set up media streams to pull content from specific hashtags, Instagram accounts, and posts where you brand is mentioned or tagged. You can also exclude certain hashtags or Instagram accounts that you don't want to appear in your account.

View media streams

In Vibe, select Commerce > Galleries > + Find Media to view your media streams. They will be on the left side of the page in a list. This is also where you'll find content syndicated to your instance if you're a retailer or if you're using intrasite syndication.

Under the Recommended Streams, you'll see curated streams with content that Vibe recommends for your brand. This is also where you'll find Visual Syndication Network content if you're a retailer or if you're using intrasite syndication.

Under Media Streams, you'll see any media streams you've already created, a media stream for uploads to your Galleries (if you have the uploader enabled), and a media stream for your connected Instagram account.

Create a media stream

Follow these steps to create a media stream:

1. In Vibe, select Commerce > Galleries > + Find Media. The Find Media page will open.
2. Select the + icon next to Your Media Streams. The Create a New Media Stream modal will appear.
3. Enter a name for this stream in the Stream Name text field.
4. Add sources to your media stream in the Add Content to Stream section.
   1. Select the drop-down menu under Type. Choose what type of source you want to add.
   2. Add the hashtag or user (Instagram username) to the  Source text field. If you chose Mentions & Tags, select the connected Instagram account you want to source from.
   3. Select Add.
5. Exclude sources from your media stream in the Exclude Content from Stream section.
   1. Select the drop-down menu under Type. Choose what type of source you want to add.
   2. Add the hashtag or user (Instagram username) to the Source text field. 
   3. Select Add.
6. Select Create.

You can now access this media stream on the Find Media page.

Tip: Select the X icon next to any sources that you want to remove while creating your media stream.

Manage a media stream

Select a media stream on the Find Media page to manage it. From here, you can sort and filter content in the selected media stream. If the Filters panel is not visible, select the button (it'll either be a number or an icon with three lines with circles at the end) in the upper-right corner of stream.

Select the gear icon next to the media stream name in the middle of the page to edit your sources or delete the stream.

Distribute content from a media stream

Follow these steps to distribute content from a media stream:

1. In your media stream, hover over a content item and select the checkbox icon that appears. Do this for every content item you want to distribute.
2. On the banner at the top of the page, select the + Add to Gallery button.
3. Select where you want to distribute content to.
4. Complete the required tasks.
